What does my workout routine have to do with
your motivation?
Well, let me tell you about this morning. You see, I
have set a goal to lose a certain amount of weight, by a certain date.
I am more than determined to do everything I need to in order to
reach my goal. So this morning I got up to go out and do my typical
morning walk/run intervals. Well it was COLD and RAINY!
So what do I do? I’m looking at my goal, looking
outside, looking at my goal, looking outside. So I decided to get
dressed, throw on my running shoes and hit the trail. When I opened the
door it was much colder than I thought, brrrrrrrr. So I went back
inside, grabbed another layer of clothes and went outside.
So there I am, walking in the cold, in the rain and
lo and behold I almost tripped on a branch that I didn’t see because I
was wiping the rain out of my eyes! Back on the trail and a little more
careful this time on my path so I won’t fall I continue on.
Then there was the mud
My trail begin to get muddy and a little slippery so
I jogged a little slower and more careful so to not fall and hurt myself
but to stay on my path.
Well, 20 minutes passed and although that was a
little shorter than my usual time, I headed inside.
What in the world does this have to do with
your motivation?
Let me tell you girl, everything. You see, we all
have (or should have) goals. (At this point if you don’t please make
sure you take the time to make some and write them down) every day we
have to be determined to keep these goals, no matter what. There will be
the cold and rain, and there will be limbs in your way and there will be
mud to slow you down. They are called obstacles and are necessary, but
it’s your determination to continue on your path that will make all the
difference.
The Rewards
Now I stepped on the scale this morning and had lost
2 pounds and because of my determination I was that much closer to my
goal.
When you stay determined no matter what obstacle
comes your way you will see the rewards of your determination and
sacrifices. Keep the goal in sight and stay on your positive path. You
will see the benefits and reap the rewards. TRUST ME!
To your success!
Rebekah
PS- OK, OK, I’ll keep you updated on when I reach my
weight goal! You know we women love to talk about weight.
